Paragraph: International Mother Language Day
➤(149 words)
Mother tongue is a divine gift. From the Holy
Quran, we come to know that the most Merciful Almighty has bestowed a mother
tongue upon each & every caste, creed & color. Mother tongue is so
important that people of a country express their ideas, thoughts, feelings,
emotions, etc. clearly through the mother tongue. But it is an irony of fate
that the rulers of Pakistan tried to impose Urdu as the only state language of
Pakistan. But the people of our country raised their voices against this
unlawful decision. Some of the heroic sons came forward & sacrificed their
glorious lives for the cause of our mother tongue on the 21st of February 1952.
Since then, this day has been called Shahid Dibos. Now it is a great pleasure
for us that UNESCO has announced 21st February as International Mother Language
Day to be observed this day globally.
