Completing Story: An Honest Wood Cutter Mr. Netizen 6 Apr, 2024 There lived a wood cutter in a village. One day he was cutting wood in a jungle near a river. All on a sudden, his axe fell into the river. The river was very deep. So, the wood cutter was sitting there with a heavy heart. Suddenly he heard a sweet voice & saw a fairy before him. The fairy said, “Why are so sad?” The wood cutter replied, “My axe is fallen into the river.” At that time the fairy went into the river & came back with a golden axe. The wood cutter saw the axe & said, “It’s not my axe.” Again, she went into the river & came back with a silver axe. Again, the wood cutter replied in the negative. Then she again went into the river & came back with the lost axe. Then the wood cutter said happily, “It’s my axe.” The fairy became very pleased with honesty of the wood cutter & gave him another two axes as reward.
