Completing Story: The Pied Piper Of Hamelin

A long time ago, the town of Hamelin was faced with a great problem. It became full of rats. The rats were so big & fought the dogs, killed the cats & bit the babies. So the people of Hamelin were leaving the town in groups. In this situation, the mayor called a meeting to solve the problem. At that, a strange, pied piper appeared before the meeting. He declared that he would drive the rats away from the town. He demanded one thousand guilders. The mayor & the present people agreed. Then he started playing his flute. Hearing the sound the rats jumped out onto the roads. The pied piper started walking & the rats following him. Suddenly he stopped by the near of a river. But the rats didn’t stop. They jumped into the river & died.
