Completing Story: A Thief in Arabia

There was a thief in Arabia. He used to steal at night. Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) also heard of him. One day he (Sm) told the thief not to steal. At this the thief said, “Please ask me to do any other thing. I’ll obey you. But don’t ask me to give up stealing.” The Prophet (Sm) said, “Well, don’t tell a lie from today.” The thief agreed. He became glad & went away. At night the thief went out to steal. On the way a man asked him, “Where are you going?” The thief couldn’t tell a lie. He came back home. He couldn’t steal that night. This happened every night. Thus, the thief lost the bad habit of stealing. The thief became an honest man.
