A village doctor is a familiar figure to the villagers. He is known to almost all the villagers. His knowledge of medicine is very little. A village doctor is called a quack. He gets up early in the morning. Then he attends his dispensary to give advice & prescribes medicine for the patients. Sometimes he has an assistant in his dispensary. He gives medicine to the patients according to the prescription. After finishing his duty there, he goes out to see his patients in the village. He treats his patients with great care. He usually goes on foot to visit his patients. As such he is an important & useful member of the village society.
